August 2026 Update

Dear Brethren,

 Valley Scholarship Program

Our annual scholarship program was a tremendous success this year. I would like to congratulate all of our scholarship recipients and wish them the very best in their future academic endeavors.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our guest speakers Past Worthy Matron Carol Davis, scholarship recipient Emma Nicoson, and Illustrious Randy Seipel, 33°, MSA, and Active Member for the State, each of whom delivered wonderful and inspiring remarks. Our officers also did an exceptional job representing the Valley throughout the event.

This year marked Illustrious Dick Boyce’s final program as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee. This initiative has been a great success for the Valley, helping numerous students further their education. We offer our deepest thanks to Dick for his many years of dedicated service as chairman.

We are pleased to announce that Joel Harbaugh has assumed the role of Chairman and served as the Master of Ceremonies for this year's program. He did an outstanding job, and I am confident he will be a tremendous asset to the committee moving forward. Additionally, special thanks go to Bryan Boyce for securing media coverage for the program on the local news channel and in the local newspaper.

Upcoming Stated Meeting

Our next Stated Meeting for the Valley will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The Executive Board meeting will begin at 6:30 PM, followed by the Stated Meeting at 7:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you there.

Diamond Pin Dinner (Invite-Only)

The Valley will host its invite-only Diamond Pin Dinner on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. This special dinner honors members who have topline signed six Blue Lodge members who have joined the Scottish Rite (accumulated over time).

We proudly congratulate this year's three new Diamond Pin recipients, Kory Krider, Max Short, and Brian Smead, for their hard work and dedication to strengthening our Valley.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to the Scottish Rite.

Fraternally,

Joseph F. Osborn
