Lodge of Perfection

The Lodge of Perfection is where a Scottish Rite Mason’s journey begins. This body confers the 4th through the 14th degrees. These degrees investigate and contemplate spirituality, and also amplify the Hiramic Legend and lessons from the Biblical era.

Chapter of Rose Croix

The Chapter of Rose Croix confers the 17th and 18th degrees, known as the philosophical degrees. These degrees make use of Christian symbols and historical settings, but their spiritual message is universal for all Masons, who are united in the belief of a Supreme Being.

19-32°

Consistory

The Consistory is responsible for conferring the 19th through the 32nd degrees. These degrees demonstrate the challenges of social and moral conflicts, drawing on lessons from the age of chivalry through modern day.

The degrees of the Council of Princes of Jerusalem subordinate body examine a historical period from 538-516 BC. They deal with people and events connected with the end of the Babylonian Captivity of Israel, the return of some of the captives of Jerusalem, and the rebuilding of the Temple. And while the events depicted through the story of this body may be thousands of years old, the lessons remain as pertinent today as ever. The beauty, wisdom, and mystery of Masonic teachings are that they are truly timeless

In the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, a Chapter of Rose Croix has the responsibility to confer the 17° - 18°. They are deeply spiritual and religious yet do not subscribe to a particular dogma, though they were originally intended as such in the early days of our fraternity. Over time they have been revised and, today, leverage a Christian backdrop as a means to convey the message of Love and Sacrifice of one’s self for the benefit of the greater good

The word "Consistory" derives from the Latin word consistere, meaning "stand firm," ultimately leading to the term consistorium or "assembly place." The Romans used the term to describe either a council of the advisors of Roman emperors or the papal Consistory, a meeting of the College of Cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church. In Scottish Rite Freemasonry, however, Consistory refers to a Supreme Council-approved assembly of Masonic officers that grants degrees.
